Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners. This policy explains how Swap-a-Lease uses cookies and similar technologies on swap-a-lease.co.uk.
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
We keep this simple: Swap-a-Lease does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and nothing on the site follows you to other websites.
We use your browser's storage only for things the site needs to work:
• Sign-in: keeps you signed in while your browser tab is open. It is cleared when you close the tab or sign out. • Referral code: if you arrive through a member's or partner's referral link, the code is remembered for up to 90 days so your free first listing, and the referrer's reward, can be applied. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. • Your own referral code: if you are a member, so share links can include it.
We do not place third-party cookies. If you pay a listing fee, you do so on PayPal's own website, which uses its own cookies under PayPal's cookie policy.
Because we do not use optional cookies, there is no cookie banner to manage. You can clear the information described above at any time through your browser settings, usually under "Clear site data" or "Cookies and site data". If you do, you will be signed out and any saved referral code will be removed.
For guidance on managing your browser settings, visit allaboutcookies.org.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at privacy@swap-a-lease.co.uk.
