What is Novation?

Why Novation Matters?
Novation is crucial for businesses undergoing changes in ownership or structure. It ensures seamless transfer of lease obligations to the new entity.
Key Criteria for Novation:
Novation usually involves two limited companies like LTDs, LLPs, or PLCs. Typically, a minimum of six months' lease term should remain. Both parties must maintain solvency. The contract terms remain unchanged. No arrears should exist in the current contract. The addresses on documents must match those on Company’s House records. A credit check is mandatory for the new leaseholder.

When you're stuck in a surplus vehicle lease contract, early termination penalties are often prohibitive and finding the cash to pay them can hurt. These days many leasing funders actively supported lease transfer although they don't always advertise the fact. Some will even help individuals find businesses to take their lease on.
What do we do?
Swap-a-Lease is designed to enable individuals and businesses to avoid the significant costs associated with the early termination of contract hire or other lease contracts, matching them with buyers searching for lower cost, deposit paid, short-term and cheap leasing deals.
How does it work?
Lease sellers advertise their leases and potential [must be creditworthy] buyers register their interest. We charge sellers a small advertising fee £39.99 to list the lease and when a transfer is completed with the company that owns the vehicle and buyers and sellers are both happy, we charge a success fee equal to 2 months rentals. If there isn't a suitable match at any time we reccomend members set up a 'Notify Me' and we'll do our best to find a match in our network.
